Mystical Kedah and My Nomadic Rituals
2026: The famous mystical Alor Nāgā waterfalls in Jerai Mountain. This spot is said to be a portal to the Bunian Kingdom! Kedah itself is said to be rich with such portals. There are many stories of locals getting translocated to the parallel realm.
Another famous tale revolves around the presence of a gigantic nāgā in this region. The name of the waterfall comes from this legend.
When I visited this waterfall and its cave personally, it was indeed densely mystical. This particular spot was so rich in a divine vibrance. The cave also had a unique layout on its wall which resembles a Śiva liṅga.
Rural Kedah is a world of its own. It is heavily concentrated with mysticism. It is no wonder that this kṣetra finds her unique reference in ancient texts.
