If the mind of men is not reformed and purified,ALL the plans to reform the world would be futile.
Meditation is the principle means to gain control over the mind. When we think of meditation,3 things are involved :-
- the person who meditates
- the object of meditation
- the process of meditation itself.
In true meditation, all these three should merge.
In jyothi meditation, light used used as the object of meditation.Light does not perish or change. Moreover,it is inexhaustible. There are three states involving in the mind :-
-emptiness
-the simultaneous pull of multiple thoughts
-one pointedness.

In jyothi meditation, light used used as the object of meditation.Light does not perish or change. Moreover,it is inexhaustible. There are three states involving in the mind :-
-emptiness
-the simultaneous pull of multiple thoughts
-one pointedness.
Process
In this process of meditation on light, the process must be from restlessness to tranquility, and from tranquility to divinity.
In this meditation, once should sit erect, casting the gaze on a gentle flame, and gradually closing the eyes, and mentally transfer or absorb the flame into the heart.
The centre of the spiritual heart should then be imagined as blossoming in beauty, dispelling the dark forces of life with its radiance.
One should then imagine out of the heart, waves of light proceed to all parts of the body.covering everything with light, and imbuing it with sacredness and purity all over.(white light )
The whole process takes up to 20 to 30 minutes to complete. This kind of meditation SHOULD NOT be regarded as an exercise or fantasy. No doubt that in the beginning imagination will be involved, but with constant meditation it will be transformed to a powerful wave, creating an indelible impression on heart, leading with union to God.
The meditation should not end with an individual visualising the light in himself, but also in his friends, relatives and enemy. He should see the whole creation with that light of divinity. This would make him live a life full of love and happiness.Embodiment of the divine reduces your selfishness.lessen your wrong desires, foster your spirit of sacrifice and grow into noble human beings.
If you dedicate yourself to these objectives, you would have realised the purpose for which you have attended this great world conference.

Jyothi meditation details
"As regards the technique of meditation, different teachers and trainers give different forms of advice. But I shall give you now the most universal and the most effective form. This is the very first step in spiritual discipline. At first, set a few minutes every day for meditation, and extend the time as you feel the bliss that you get.
"Since the light illumines all the senses every day so deeply and so systematically, a time will soon come when you can no more relish dark and evil sights, yearn for dark and sinister tales, crave for base, harmful, deadening toxic food and drink, handle dirty demeaning things, approach places of ill-fame and injury, or frame evil designs against anyone at any time. Stay on in that thrill of witnessing the light everywhere.
If you are adoring God in any form now, try to visualize that form in the all-pervasive light. For Light is God; God is Light.
"Practice this meditation as I have advised regularly every day. At other times repeat the name of God (any Name fragrant with any of His many Majesties), always taking care to be conscious of His might, mercy, and munificence."
