Karma Yoga - Attain Spiritual Awakening through Duty

"The purpose of Krishna was to make Arjuna fight the war and save him from misery and infamy

The knowledge of Atma and Anatma - the truth about the body principle are essential for the performance of one's duties

(Kartavyakarma)..

The most important thing that Arjuna LEARNT was to PERFORM all actions with a sense of SURRENDER to the Lord..

This is the SECRET of Karma Yoga.. practised by Arjuna.. "
~Sathya Sai Baba~

If you can direct attention towards God,that is enough. Then work will be transformed into worship. That is meditation.Turn your vision and look towards God.Turn your feelings towards God.Work and worship are not  separate.World and nature are not different.Individual and God are not different. Both are one.’’

Vedas have told us that it is a sin to divide our work in two parts and to say that something is your work and something is God’s work.In all the work we have to do in our life, there is nothing that you can call your own work.Everything is God’s work. You should do all work believing that it is God’s work and thus the Omnipresent Lord will take care of the results – Baba’

Whenever and wherever you put yourself in touch with God,that is the state of meditation’’.

Rememberance of the Lord's name is a means to which we put ourself in touch with Him

Chanting RAMA'S Name Destroys all the sins - When you utter the word "RAM", you first open the mouth with the sound" RA". All your sins go out when your mouth is open. When you utter "M" by closing the mouth, the entry is barred against the sins that have gone out. Everyone should recognise the sweetness, the sacredness and the divinity enshrined in the name "RAMA".

While performing your duties in your house or outside, constantly remind yourself, “Whatever I do, think or speak, everything belongs to God.”

The proper attitude should be, ‘Sarva karma Bhagavath preethyartham’. Take for example, the process of cooking. You add different ingredients to the dish being cooked in definite proportions and try to make them tasty. But the real taste comes only when the job of cooking is done as an offering to God. The food becomes divine when it is offered to God. On the other hand, if the various items are cooked with the attitude, ‘I am doing this job as a routine; I am cooking these items for my family members to partake’, it does not reach God. Hence undertake every act in your life as an offering to God, chanting His Name. Whatever you think, speak or do, consider it as God’s command, God’s work."

 Shri Sathya Sai Baba

‘’Always think of God and you will see what He does’’- Shirdi Sai Baba
